TRANSLATE KINETIC SAFARI

From trend direction to AI-assisted outfit concept, this case study explores how movement, utility and material intelligence can shape a contemporary fashion silhouette.

SAFARI CONCEPT.jpg
PROJECT OVERVIEW

Kinetic Safari started as a trend direction built around movement, utility, natural textures and adaptive tailoring.

FIS used AI as a visual exploration layer to test how this direction could evolve into a contemporary outfit concept.

The project shows how AI can support early-stage fashion concept development when it is guided by research, creative direction and product logic.

PROJECT DETAILS

Format: AI-assisted fashion concept

Focus: Safari tailoring, movement, material intelligence

Output: One outfit concept

Method: Trend signal → AI exploration → creative direction → design implications

THE CHALLANGE

AI can generate images. But brands need direction.

AI is increasingly used in fashion concept generation, but visual outputs often remain disconnected from real collection development. Without structure, AI images can become beautiful but generic — lacking links to brand identity, material logic, silhouette strategy or product opportunity.

The challenge was to use AI not as a final answer, but as a creative tool inside a structured FIS process.

TREND SIGNAL

KINETIC SAFARI: UTILITY IN MOTION

The starting point was a safari-inspired trend direction reinterpreted through movement, adaptability and material tension. Traditional safari codes — utility pockets, desert tones, structured shirting and functional layering — were reframed through fluid textiles, kinetic surface effects and a more contemporary silhouette.

WHERE NATURE MEETS GARMENT

CONCEPT & BASIC GARMENT

Designing garments as evolving systems, not static objects.

This exploration redefines safari tailoring through a lens of motion, adaptability and digital augmentation.

Structure is no longer fixed — it becomes responsive.

Through fluid textiles, directional construction and AI-assisted iterations, garments shift between control and freedom, precision and softness.

The result is a new category of luxury utility: engineered, yet instinctive.

AI EXPLORATION

AI was used to expand the visual field and test how safari tailoring could become more dynamic.

Instead of treating the AI output as final design, FIS used it as a research and ideation tool — selecting, editing and translating the most relevant cues into a more structured design direction.
